There was a burglary in the Silver City jewelry store last Sunday.
Three suspects: Robert, Scott, and Tommy were caught and questioned.
Each person said, “One of the other two stole it. I did not do it.”
Later on the police found out that Tommy was lying and there was only one thief.
Can you guess who was the thief?

Answer: Tommy was the thief.
How?
Its actually quite simple, as tommy is lying one of his two statements should be false.
If “One of the other two stole it” is false it implies=> tommy did it.
Else if I did not do it is false=> it also implies => tommy did it.
In both of these cases, Robert and Scott’s statements holds true.
