The limiting number in this series is 12
whenever the number becomes more than 12, 12 is deducted from this
1
1 + (2) = 3
3 + (3) = 6
6 + (4) = 10
10 + (5) = 15 – 12 = 3
3 + (6) = 9
9 + (7) = 16 – 12 = 4
4 + (8) = 12
12 + (9) = 21 – 12 = 9
9 + (10) =19 – 12 = 7
7 + (11) =18 – 12 = 6
6 + (12) =18 – 12 = 6

    difference between 1st and 3rd number is 5 and 2nd and 4th is 7….similarly forming analogy between 5th and 7th.. differnce is 6 and between 6th and 8th is 8…so the next differences will be 7 for 9th number(9)…and 9 for 10th number(7)…hence answer is 16,16!
