I have $50 with me, here is the summary of my spent and balance amount

Now, How can the total amount be 50 for one column and 51 for another.

From where this extra one dollar came ?

Actually there is no comparison of sum of spent amount and sum of remaining amount. To make it easy to explain, lets say we spend $1 each time thus total spend becomes $50 while if we sum the balance amount i.e. 49 + 48 + 47 …….+1, it will be a very large number than $50.

A nice number trick to play with your friends

Ask them, Using the below operations we will get to know what you generally likes to eat

  1. Take any number between 1 to 9
  2. Now multiply that number by 3
  3. Now add 3 to it
  4. Multiple it again by 3
  5. Sum all digits of the new number


And, take final number’s item from below

  1. Rajma
  2. Paneer
  3. Chicken
  4. Pizza
  5. Burger
  6. Gulab Juman
  7. Chowmein
  8. Ice cream
  9. Cow’s shit

Lets assumes the number you chose is x.
Now, Perform the steps from step 2

3*3(x+1) = 9(x+1)

9(x+1) is divisible by 9 and we know that sum of all the digits of a number divisible by 9 is also a multiple of 9, here x can vary from 1 to 9, so the final number can vary from 18 to 90, sum of the digits of these will always be 9.

You can figure out someone’s age from his shoe size, lets apply it to you

  1. Take your shoe size
  2. Multiply it by 5
  3. Add 50
  4. Multiply by 20
  5. Add 1013
  6. Subtract the year you were born

The first digit is your shoe size while the last 2 digits are your age 🙂

Lets assume the shoe size you took is x, we will perform all operations on x now

100x + 1000
100x + 2013

What is your age? = Subtract your birth year from the current year, i.e 2013 – your birth year.

Thus after subtracting your birth year on step 6, what remains is 100x + your age.
Now shoe size is generally from 1 to 9 max and your age will be less than 99, so first digit becomes your shoe size remaining two digits becomes your age.

By now, you must have understood, that this will not work for the people with shoe size more than 9 or older than 99.

We can say that 5/2 artists make 1 painting using 1 canvas in 1 day.(its not 1 artist, most people do this mistake).

From above we can say 5/2 artists can make 25 paintings using 25 canvases in 25 days.
