We’ve got whole milk (with 4% fat) and low-fat milk (with 1% fat).
How much low-fat milk should be added to 50 liters of whole milk to get milk with 3% fat?
Check your answer:-
50 liters of whole milk has 4% fat, lets say we add L liters of low fat mil to it, than we can say
50*(4/100) + L*(1/100) = (50+L)*3/100
=> 200 + L = (50+L)*3
=> 200 – 150 = 2L
=> 2L = 50
=> L = 25 liters.
