123 = 2×23 – 1 = 46 – 1 = 45
233 = 2×33 – 2 = 66 – 2 = 64
321 = 2X21- 3 = 42 – 3 = 39
840 = 2X40 – 8 = 80 -8 = 72
So
111 = 2X11 – 1 = 22 -1 = 21

    Logic is : – twice of last 2 digits miuns left most digit.
    123 = 2×23 – 1 = 46 – 1 = 45
    233 = 2×33 – 2 = 66 – 2 = 64
    321 = 2X21- 3 = 42 – 3 = 39
    840 = 2X40 – 8 = 80 -8 = 72
    So
    111 = 2X11 – 1 = 22 -1 = 21

    Answer is 21
    logic is as follows:
    (((number formed by second and third digit) – first digit) +number formed by second and third digit)
    (1). 1 2 3 [ ( 23 – 1 = 22 + 23 ) = 45 ]
    (2). 2 3 3 [ ( 33 – 2 = 31 + 33 ) = 64 ]
    (3). 3 2 1 [ ( 21 – 3 = 18 + 21 ) = 39 ]
    (4). 8 4 0 [ ( 40 – 8 = 32 + 40 ) = 72 ]
    Therefore
    (5). 1 1 1 [ ( 11 – 1 = 10 + 11) = 21 ]
